Star Wars: Clone Wars is a 9 volume series of trade paperbacks published by Dark Horse Comics between 2003 and 2006 that collect various comics dealing with the Clone Wars. It is to be distinguished from the quarterly, graphic-novella series and monthly comic series that take place during the events showed in the TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV series), which started in December 2009.

The game is set during the Clone Wars, between 2 and 3 of the episode. In the game, the player will take command of the special-group clone commandos. These elite clone soldiers were specially brought over to the planet Kamino klonofabrikah. The group of commandos will be traveling to different places in the Star Wars universe, including Geonosis, abandoned ship Acclamator, Kashyyyk.

Itis three years after the Clone Wars. The leader of the droid army,General Grievous, has captured Chancellor Palpatine on board his ship,the Invisible Hand.
