The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band - How I Go (Special Edition) (2011)
Audio CD (August 2, 2011) | 17 Tracks | FLAC(Tracks - No Cue - No Log) | Covers | Size: 533.80 MB
Genre: Blues, Jazz | Label: Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud Records
Special Edition includes 4 bonus studio recordings as well as expanded artwork in a Digipak. Kenny Wayne Shepherds How I Go not only serves as a strong reminder of the chops that caused Guitar World to place him right behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton on their list of blues guitarists, but its the strongest indication yet of his gifted songwriting talent. The album pairs Kennys deeply soulful and impassioned takes on classic material like Bessie Smiths "Blackwater Blues," Albert Kings "Oh, Pretty Woman" and The Beatles "Yer Blues" alongside the strongest writing and co-writing of his career thus far.
The hard-rocking, blues-based, guitar-driven album sounds young, it sounds fresh. Yet it has that distinctive energy and vibe drawn from the deep heritage of the genre. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is growing as a songwriter, musician and producer.

Release: 2008 | Track: 107 (4CD) | Format: MP3 CBR 320 Kbps | Size: 725 MB
Genre: Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, Country | Label: Sony Legacy
Here is, bar none, the most all-inclusive anthology ever assembled to honor the greatest singer ever considered to be a "Rock and Roll artist." But Roy Kelton Orbison was so much more: behind his ever-present sunglasses and beneath his shock of raven-black hair, clad in black, he was rocks Mystery Man, the possessor of the most glorious voice ever to soar on such signature songs as "Only The Lonely," "In Dreams," "Running Scared," "Crying" and "Oh, Pretty Woman," to cite a mere handful of his Top Ten hits.
As Orbisons widow, Barbara, who is also this collections Executive Producer, points out in her loving annotation contained in this four-CD package: "For the first time, you will have a chance to hear Roys first recording to the last time he ever sang--Dec. 4, 1988, in Akron, Ohio. Roy recorded for several different labels [including 15 covered in this 107-song collection] and toured the world many, many times--we have numerous unreleased masters [specifically, 12 in this package] and live performances included in this box set to make it truly special."

Genre: Rock & Roll | Label: Bear Family
The ultimate Orbison! Between 1955 and 1965 Roy Orbison revolutionised popular music and these are the recordings that did it! This box set includes every recording from his golden decade! Beginning his career as a rockabilly singer on Jew-Wel and Sun Records , Roy scored one hit, Oooby Dooby, and left many great early rare and rockin sides behind...Problem Child, Down The Line, Rockhouse, Cat Called Domino... as well as songs he wrote for Buddy Holly, like An Empty Cup and Youve Got Love. Then Roys song Claudette (both early demos included here for the first time!) became a hit for the Everly Brothers, and Roy went to Nashville to record first for RCA, then Monument. At Monument Records, Roy made the most perfectly realised pop music of the early-to-mid Sixties. Bruce Springsteen spoke of its \mysterious sense of longing.\ As Roys contemporaries fell to the British Invasion, he went from strength to strength. All of his Monument recordings are complete here for the first time. All The hits, Uptown, Only The Lonely, Blue Angel, Im Hurtin, Running Scared, Crying, Candy Man, Dream Baby, In Dreams, Falling, Mean Woman Blues, Blue Bayou, Pretty Paper, Its Over, Oh Pretty Woman, and more! All the B-sides, including songs that became big hits for other artists, like Todays Teardrops, Love Hurts, and Distant Drums. And all the album tracks from all the Monument LPs, plus previously unissued alternate takes and rare demos. This set concludes with Roys first MGM hit, Ride Away from 1965, closing out incredible 10 years...10 years that changed the way popular music was made. Altogether, this set includes more than 150 recordings, as well as an LP-sized book that includes many previously unseen photographs, a newly researched biography by Colin Escott, and a complete discography.

#9: Gary Moore - Essential Montreux (2009) (Special Edition 5CD Set)
Genre: Blues, Blues/Rock | Label: Eagle Rock | 5CD | MP3 320 kbps | 908 MB
This five-disc box collects as many complete concerts by Irish blues-rock guitarist Gary Moore, recorded in 1990, 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001 at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Some might call this too much material, especially given the number of songs that recur (four versions of "All Your Love," three each of "Oh Pretty Woman," "Too Tired," and "You Dont Love Me," and two each of "The Blues Is Alright," "Further on Up the Road," "Need Your Love So Bad," "Parisienne Walkways," "Since I Met You Baby," "Still Got the Blues," "Stop Messing Around," and "Walking by Myself"), but there is in fact substantial variation from disc to disc. The obvious outlier is the 1990 disc, on which Moore is joined for four superlative songs by legendary Texas guitarist Albert Collins. But the 1997 concert finds Moore moving from straight Chicago-style blues to an alternative metal roar, the guitar cranked up ferociously loud and backed by a mix of live instruments, occasionally chintzy synths, and programmed beats. By 1999, hes returned to the blues, albeit a hard-rocking version thats still closer in spirit to Blueshammer than Buddy Guy. The 2001 set is a mixed bag, running the gamut from a restrained take on "Stormy Monday" to an almost punk rock sprint through Jimi Hendrixs "Fire" and the amp-frying closing instrumental "The Prophet." At each concert, hes backed by a sympathetic and skilled band (including horns in 1990 and 1995), which only draws attention to one of this sets biggest flaws -- the total lack of information. Concert dates are provided, but no personnel listings or songwriting credits. Its a shame that the backing musicians are so ill-served, but otherwise, any serious Moore fan would do well to pick this set up and spend an afternoon or two wallowing in six hours of screaming blues-rock guitar.

Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer-songwriter, best known for his distinctive, powerful voice, complex compositions, and dark emotional ballads. Orbison grew up in Texas and began singing in a rockabilly/country and western band in high school until he was signed by Sun Records in Memphis. His greatest success came with Monument Records between 1960 and 1964, when 22 of his songs placed on the Billboard Top Forty, including "Only the Lonely", "Crying", and "Oh, Pretty Woman". His career stagnated through the 1970s, but several covers of his songs and the use of "In Dreams" in David Lynchs Blue Velvet revived his career in the 1980s... Wikipedia

Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper are both brilliant physicists working at Cal Tech in Pasadena, California. They are colleagues, best friends, and roommates, although in all capacities their relationship is always tested primarily by Sheldons regimented, deeply eccentric, and non-conventional ways. They are also friends with their Cal Tech colleagues mechanical engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali. The foursome spend their time working on their individual work projects, playing video games, watching science-fiction movies, or reading comic books. As they are self-professed nerds, all have little or no luck with popular women. When Penny, a pretty woman and an aspiring actress originally from Omaha, moves into the apartment next to Leonard and Sheldons, Leonard has another aspiration in life, namely to get Penny to be his girlfriend.
