5-CD LP-sized Box-Set with 80-page hardcover book. This box set picks up right where BEAR FAMILYs first mammoth and highly acclaimed Freddie King box, Taking Care Of Business 1956-1973, left off, chronicling the last years of the great Texas-born blues guitarists legacy with RSO RECORDS, where, of course, Eric Clapton also recorded. Kings producer, Mike Vernon, had previously founded BLUE HORIZON RECORDS, Englands top blues label. Vernon would helm Kings first RSO album, Burglar, in Great Britain; the set spotlighted Freddies high-energy attack in a funky soul-laced setting. One song on the acclaimed album was cut in Miami with Tom Dowd producing and Eric Clapton on second guitar. Also included are several more studio-cut gems, including a previously unreleased version of Jimmy Rogers Thats All Right, and Kings last Vernon-helmed single for RSO, done in L.A. with the citys top R&B session aces.

The other four discs capture Freddie in all his onstage glory, working his magic in front of appreciative live throngs. The great majority of these in-concert performances have never been released until now; theyre all professionally recorded in sparkling stereo with Freddies crack touring band in tow and King in typically dazzling form. The last live number dates from a month-and-a-half before Freddies tragic December 1976 death, featuring him in a guitar-wielding guest role as Clapton sings Farther Up The Road.

The Anthology... So Far is a triple live compilation album by Ringo Starr which was released in 2001. Rounding up the bulk of the material on 1990s Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band, 1993s Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band Volume 2: Live From Montreux and 1997s Ringo Starr and His Third All-Starr Band-Volume 1 - in addition to previously unheard material recorded live in 1995, 1997 and 2000, The Anthology... So Far stands as an exhaustive collection of Starrs concert highlights spanning a decade.

Over the course of the collection Starr is joined by Randy Bachman, Gary Brooker, Jack Bruce, Tim Cappello, Eric Carmen, Felix Cavaliere, Clarence Clemons, Burton Cummings, Rick Danko, Dr. John, Dave Edmunds, John Entwistle, Mark Farner, Peter Frampton, Levon Helm, Jim Keltner, Simon Kirke, Nils Lofgren, Billy Preston, Mark Rivera, Todd Rundgren, Timothy B.
